Trading Mentorship FAQ

Why should I choose Bruce as my mentor
Bruce has been called one of the BEST stock market traders of our time. He is an extremely disciplined investor and specializes in managing the funds of high-net worth individuals and businesses. He brings this same level of commitment to his mentorship programs, teaching his students the same fundamentals that he employs daily.

Why should I learn to trade options instead of just buying and selling stocks
Buying and selling stocks requires a lot of cash and then, to make any money, for the stock to increase in value. When we trade options, we are able to control a significant number of shares of stock without having to purchase the underlying security. This means that you have a higher ability to put cash in your pocket faster. Using the methodologies that Bruce teaches, many of our students are able to quickly “earn while they learn”, often placing their first trades while still in the first class!

What is Money Flow Index and why is it important?
The Money Flow Index (MFI) is an oscillator from 1 to 100 that tracks the flow of money over several days. MFI is used to measure the enthusiasm of the market, and it shows how much a stock was traded. A value of 80 or more is generally considered overbought, a value of 20 or less is considered to be oversold. In our classes, students will learn from Bruce how to identify stocks using MFI, and how they structure a successful trade in both situations.

What does Sector Rotation mean?
Sector rotation is a term that is normally applied to stock market trading patterns. A sector is understood to mean a group of stocks in the same industry (i.e. Oil and Gas, Healthcare, Retail, Technology, etc). Sector rotation is used to determine which sectors are currently performing well, and which are not, with the understanding that sectors that are out of favor will rotate into favor, and vice versa. These movements are somewhat predictable, and are usually connected to the business cycle. Students in our classes will be taught how Bruce uses sector rotation to identify the hot sectors, and how to use this information to your advantage.

What is Technical Analysis and why do I need it?
In short, technical analysis is a methodology for forecasting the direction of prices through the study of past market data, primarily price and volume. In our classes, students will learn how to look at a stock chart and identify the archetypal price chart patterns such as the head and shoulders or double top/bottom reversal pattern, how to study technical indicators, moving averages, and how to look for support and resistance lines, channels, and also to identify more obscure patterns like the cup and handle formation.

What is a candlestick chart, and why is that important to me?
Candlestick charts are a style of financial chart used to describe the price movements of a security. A candle stick shows a specific interval of time and what happened with the stock price during that time. Fully understanding what the candlestick is telling you is critical to creating a successful trade. As part of our class, students will learn how to read a candlestick chart and what it it signifies.

What is Price Action trading?
Price action trading is the analysis of basic price movement. It looks at primarily the security’s price history, in short, how the price of the stock has moved. As part of technical analysis, it help to identify areas of support and/or resistance for stocks, and sets up trading patterns which help to identify which way a stock might move. Our students will learn how to look at price action and use it as a tool in their trading activities.
